Among all the doom and gloom out there it is encouraging that our business is continuing to hire more staff and invest in business growth. With interest rates at 40 year lows, inflation at historically low levels and unemployment, whilst rising, still at low levels, Australia has fared better than our counterparts in Japan, USA and Europe.

At PILA group we have decided we are not going to take part in this so called recession or economic downturn. There are so many wonderful opportunities for us to continually grow our business. Now is not the time to slash marketing budgets, reduce staff levels or retrench staff.

Now is the time to focus on strategic marketing, gain market share from our competitors through innovation and hard work, focus on our clients, invest in staff training, maintain margins and hire staff. History tells us that businesses that do the above and carefully position themselves during the tougher economic times are those businesses that reap the rewards in growth and profitability when the economy turns. The economy will turn and grow – it’s just a matter of when.

At PILA group we have hired 7 new team members since the start of 2009 to position ourselves for the expected economic turnaround. We are about to embark into several new product lines and we have just doubled our manufacturing space by acquiring the adjacent factory. 

We have also just opened our brand new outdoor product display area; the first of its type for our industry. We will be holding free information days, product development and training sessions so our clients can come and see our products in action and have any questions answered by our sales and production team. Our display centre will also be open daily during business hours with our team on hand to show you around.
