ARL Centenary 2008 Choose PILA Goals

PILA Rugby Goal Posts for the 08 ARL Centenary

On Wednesday 8 August 2007 Australian Rugby League commenced their Centenary celebrations and PILA group’s Sports Goal Post Division was proud to supply fibreglass rugby league goal posts for this special occasion.

The ARL required a fast yet professional solution to get the goals to the site, install and remove them without damaging the ground at the event location at Fox Studios in Sydney.

The event organiser required the rugby league goal posts to be standing for 3 days while the re-enactment of the first game of rugby league was performed and filmed in front of a crowd of league legends and dignitaries that included Johnny Raper, Reg Gasnier, Norm Provin, Ken Arthurson, Rex Mossop, Gordon Tallis, Mario Fenech and NRL CEO David Gallop

The ARL chose PILA’s 9m fibreglass league goal posts with their unique ground screw base system for their lightweight design and ease of installation and removal. The goals are then assembled on site and are easily stood by 2 men with no need for tools or machinery, preventing damage to the site surface. Along with no machinery needed for installation the unique ground screw system leaves no visible damage to the ground after removal of the goals; perfect for event sites.

PILA’s fibreglass rugby league goal posts goals are manufactured in accordance with Australian and European Standards and have been designed for everyday use and comply with the appropriate safety and sports competition standards. They are backed by our 5-year warranty for peace of mind and value for money, making PILA rugby league goals the #1 choice for Australian councils, clubs and schools.
