PILA group’s Rugby League posts installed at ASICS new Headquarters.
The grand opening with Johnathan Thurston.
Your dream of playing sport and relaxing during work is now a reality. ASICS recently opened their ‘Field of dreams’ head quarters at Sydney’s Eastern Creek. ASICS, the world’s third largest sports shoe manufacturer, installed PILA group’s 12m Fibreglass Rugby League goal posts to help make the work place more worker friendly for all the staff.
The ‘Field of Dreams’ complex also features a table tennis room, luxury lounges, sports-themed meeting rooms, a full gym, a Japanese garden, a 30m running track and a miniature rugby league field.
ASICS is hoping that the facilities made available to the staff will help to invigorate them, as well as providing an added incentive for staff to remain at the company. ASICS managing director Arata Ikeda said the design followed the “sound mind, sound body” philosophy of the sports gear company.
The environmentally sustainable fibreglass goal posts were sought for their safe and easy handling, superior strength, durability, and overall quality compared to the standard aluminium or steel posts traditionally used in the past. The smooth gel coat finish applied to PILA group’s fibreglass poles also means that it is durable in all whether and never needs painting or recoating.
Some of Australia’s elite athletes were present to add some star power to the launch of ASICS new headquarters. The likes of NRL stars Benji Marshall, Johnathan Thurston, Nathan Hindmarsh joined cricket’s Shane Watson and Brad Haddin to mark the opening of the complex.
