While fibreglass goals are now the material of choice in Australia, aluminium goals are still lightweight, hard wearing and easy to install, making them the perfect budget alternative to fibreglass. Aluminium can be installed using a spigot base or flange base.
Why is a hinge base installation the easiest?
Hinge bases are a standard fit on the fibreglass poles and aid in the installation process. The hinge system makes walking up each pole a breeze and it allows the goal to be levelled off after the concrete footing has set, giving you straight goals every year and saving money on the initial installation and each time the goals are put up or down, as machinery is not needed. If you are replacing a set of goals then it may be possible to fit the new base to the existing footing, saving time and money.
What lengths are the goal posts transported in?
Goal posts above 6m in height come in a sturdy 2-piece design and above 12m in a sturdy 3-piece design, so the longest length of tube prior to assembly is 6m for easy, cost effective transport and storage.
