PILA’s Rugby League Goal Posts at Brookvale Oval

Brookvale Oval, home to NRL’s Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, has been subject to a multi-million dollar upgrade during this off-season. In a first for a NSW NRL team, part of these upgrades has been the installation of PILA’s 15m Rugby League Goal Posts.

As the market leader in goal post manufacture, PILA were the logical choice for site owner, Warringah Council. As a local company with many staff regular attendees at Sea Eagles games, PILA were delighted to be part of this project.

PILA’s Project Manager commented “the hinge base system was ideal for council requirements as they plan to open up the field so it can be used by other sports with the posts easily removable. The hinge base system doesn’t require heavy and expensive machinery on the field, simply a field tractor or vehicle with the capacity to add a roller system to stand and lower the posts up into place.”

Other Stadiums around Australia to recently have purchased PILA’s goal posts include Darwin’s TIO stadium and the AFL’s newest team, the Gold Coast Suns for Gold Coast Stadium in Carrara. The Carrara based stadium is due to be ready for the club’s first home game in May, with the turf and final touches being added in the next couple of months.
