PILA’s Rugby League Goal Posts Installed at ASICS New Headquarters
Your dream of playing sport and relaxing during work is now a reality. ASICS recently opened their ‘Field of Dreams’ headquarters at Sydney’s Eastern Creek. ASICS, the world’s third largest sports shoe manufacturer, installed PILA’s 12m Rugby League goal posts to help make this workplace more worker friendly for all staff.
The ‘Field of Dreams’ complex also features a table tennis room, luxury lounges, sports-themed meeting rooms, a full gym, a Japanese garden, a 30m running track and a miniature rugby league field.
ASICS is hoping that the facilities made available to the staff will help to invigorate them as well as providing an added incentive for staff to remain at the company. ASICS managing director, Arata Ikeda, said the design followed the “sound mind, sound body” philosophy of the sports gear company.
Some of Australia’s elite athletes were present to add some star power to the launch of ASICS new headquarters. The likes of NRL stars Benji Marshall, Johnathan Thurston and Nathan Hindmarsh joined cricket’s Shane Watson and Brad Haddin to mark the opening of the complex.
