TAMS Supports AFL in the ACT and Chooses PILA AFL Goal Posts
In April this year, Territorial and Municipal Services ACT (TAMS) purchased PILA’s 15m/10m aluminium AFL goal posts as part of the redevelopment of Phillip Oval, or affectionately known as “Football Park”. After consultation with AFL NSW/ACT and ACT Cricket, TAMS have turned “Football Park” into one of the premier local ovals for AFL in the ACT.
Officially opened on July 22 for the Landmark Australian Country Football Championships, users include the Sydney Swans Reserves, local Premier League teams, and for the first time this year will co-host the AFL Canberra Milk Junior League Grand Final Day on September 11.
The aluminium AFL goal posts were supplied with a hinge base for easy and safe erection and removal of the posts and to allow for the multi-use functionality of the field. Since April, the feedback on the upgrade and the goal posts supplied has been nothing but positive and everyone is excited about playing their 2010 finals matches at the new facilities. PILA is proud to have been able to support the growth of sport in the ACT through this project and continue its strong goal post supply relationship with TAMS.
With the offseason rapidly closing in, now is a great time to consider an upgrade of your own facilities. PILA’s 15m/10m AFL goal posts are a fantastic way to enhance your field and bring it up to professional standards. However, if you think you are short of cash, don’t stress, there are plenty of local, state and federal government grants you can apply for. Alternatively, we have smaller sizes available and our specialised AFL staff can tailor a solution specific to your needs and budget.
