VIC Primary School Gets Grant for PILA Goal Posts
After receiving a $10,000 Bendigo Bank grant, Wandin Yallock Primary School has installed new footy goal posts and the students are once again enjoying playing footy. At the ceremony to mark the official opening of the goal posts, School Council president Amanda Williams said the school desperately needed the new posts because the old wooden ones were virtually falling apart and quite dangerous. Ms Williams said the whole school was getting use out of them. “Kids love kicking a footy. It’s such an important part of their time at school to have fun outside the classroom as well as inside it,” she said. “The kids are making the most of them. We really appreciate the help.”
The footy goal posts can be used for 3 different football codes: AFL, rugby and soccer. This unique product is only sold by PILA and was specifically designed with schools in mind where there are limited funds and limited oval space yet the students have different needs and interests. This goal post set is affordable and versatile with all 3 sports being able to be played, or where only the required goal posts can be used by simply and quickly removing the other goals that aren’t needed.
